Training Microscopists
The Brazilian Society for Microscopy and Microanalysis holds, every 2 years, a congress which gathers researchers and students from different areas of knowledge. The congress is organized within two main branches: Biology/ Health and Materials.
The traditional participation of biologists, metallurgical and mining engineers, physicists, geologists and chemists who have bonds with the academy has been spreading to scholars of several other areas, including public and private companies which are discovering or rediscovering microscopy as a powerful tool in the investigation of the widest range of materials and processes.
The congress will take place in the city of Belo Horizonte at the Ouro Minas Hotel from the 4th to the 7th of October, 2009.
This year we have increased the number and range of pre and post-congress courses, as well as its geographical distribution throughout Brazil. We are aiming to provide greater access to basic knowledge and advanced microscopy techniques in the country.
We would be honored if you could attend the congress and the courses.
